Garrett Bryant's passion for the industry started at the age of 18 when a temporary summer job as a salon coordinator at Magnum Opus Salon in Portland, Oregon sparked his love for the industry and unexpectedly launched his career. Fourteen years later, he is now a respected Manhattan stylist, poised to realize his dream of opening his own studio.

As an apprentice at top New York salon, Antonio Prieto Salon, Garrett spent six years perfecting his craft and establishing himself as a senior stylist and assistant salon educational director. His work educating for Kerastase Paris enabled him to reach students and professionals across the US, Mexico, and Canada. A firm believer in continued education, Garrett has received advanced training from industry magnates such as Bumble and Bumble, Toni and Guy, and Nick Arrojo, among others. He has styled hair for Calvin Klein, Rodarte, Thakoon and many more at New York Fashion Week.

Garrett is driven by the constant growth, discoveries, and new relationships this industry affords and he is committed to continuing to evolve as a stylist and educator. While Garrett thrives on the creative energy of New York City, growing up in the Pacific Northwest instilled a love of nature and the importance of slowing down, taking time, and appreciating his surroundings—a sensibility that deeply informs hawthorne.

Behind the chair is where his heart is, developing a strong bond with his clientele to deliver impeccable service and distinctive looks that leave them looking and feeling their very best.

After attending BA Hair/Make-up for fashion at London College of Fashion, she then attended Vidal Sassoon Academy in London. In 2000, following her passion for cutting hair, she moved to NYC to join Vidal Sassoon Salon. With her unique vision that embodies her training, amassed knowledge, and expertise for classic precision haircuts she is able to leave her clients feeling exceptional.

Lourdes Rodriguez

Lourdes hails from San Juan, Puerto Rico. She began her career with a two year apprenticeship under famed colorist Brad Johns in 2005. Later, she joined Arrojo Studio where she rounded her training as a Color Specialist and began her journey as an Educator. Since, she has developed education programs for various salons and has trained many apprentices.

She’s a blonde and redhead specialist. However, her favorite look is what she calls ‘color enhancing’, this look simply brightens up virgin hair enough to look naturally sunkissed. Lourdes is a foil master, and has become a balayage enthusiast. In her own words

“balayage is the perfect technique for this era, low-maintenance, non-committal and forever fabulous”

Today, she continues to work behind the chair with a very loyal clientele, and travels the world as a global Educator for evo hair products. Her exposure includes fashion runway, Allure magazine, Cosmopolitan magazine. Currently working out of  hawthorne in Chelsea as a Master Colorist.

Meet Huich! (Pronounced like "peach" with an "H") 

Huich trained at Arrojo Studios where she completed her apprenticeship learning precision haircutting under master Sassoon stylists.  She learned how to create soft, effortless cuts with a razor, then went on to learn editorial styling for magazines and advertising shoots.  She has worked with Macy's, Tory Burch, Glamour, W, Oyster, and T Mag.  She found her voice as a stylist at Younghee's in Tribeca, creating effortless hair that promotes her client's individual unique beauty.  After honing her skills and developing her brand, she has opened her own business, Hair by Huich, serving clients in Flatiron.  

Huich specializes in dry cutting, preserving length, refreshing the shape, and keeping hair healthy.  Her styles are meticulous, simply stated yet polished.  She absolutely loves working with natural texture and promoting natural hair.  Her work is thoughtful, she caters to each client, promoting everyone's unique gifts and beauty. We all deserve to be our authentic selves and Huich is fully committed to her clients' and promoting their authenticity.
